Does the Balmoral House provide catering?
The Balmoral House does not have an on-site caterer, but we do work exclusively with five full-service caterers. We work with MBP Distinctive Catering, Jacquie's Gourmet Catering, City Barbeque, A Cut Above Catering & Classes, and Jonathan Byrd's Hospitality & Restaurant Group. Events at The Cottage, are permitted to use any caterer as long as the food is prepared in a commercial kitchen.
Can I bring in my own alcohol/bartender?
No. The Balmoral House does not allow outside food or beverages to be brought into the venue due to liquor licensing and health codes. The Balmoral House will provide all of your beverage needs, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, and our exclusive caterers will provide all of your food needs, for pre-ceremony and reception. The Balmoral House also has fantastic bartenders on staff.
Is there parking on site?
Yes! The Balmoral House has two paved parking lots on-site for both The Balmoral House and The Cottage. A parking attendant is available to help park guests for larger events.
Can I get ready on-site?
Of course! One of our favorite parts of The Balmoral House is our bridal suite and groom's room. Our bridal suite is a 3-room luxury suite which provides plenty of room for you and all of your bridesmaids to have your hair and makeup done and for pre-ceremony food and beverages to be served. Our groom's room is a theatre-style lounge which is perfect for getting dressed, hanging out with the guys, enjoying pre-ceremony food and beverages, and preparing for the big day!
How long do I get the space?
For weddings, we offer 12-hour, exclusive venue rentals! This means that only you and your guests will be in The Balmoral House for the duration of your event, and grants you access to The Balmoral House grounds for photographs.
For other events, you have access to the space for the time reserved. If you reserve a space from 9a-5p you have 8 hours at our venue. Your rental time should include any time necessary for setup and tear down of decor and party supplies by you or any vendors.
What is the max capacity?
For indoor seated dinner, our comfortable capacity is 150, taking place in Eaton Hall. For an outdoor seated dinner, our comfortable capacity is 200, taking place on our Garden Patio.
