Seasonal Internships

The Balmoral House intern will work with the event sales and execution team to learn how to plan and execute exceptional events May 2022 through December 2022.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist Venue Manager on event days including, but not limited to bussing, Day-of-Coordination, trash removal, & event set up and tear down

  • Assist bartender with bar services including, but not limited to preparing non-alcoholic beverages, pouring toasts, and restocking items

  • Clean and maintain the Balmoral House in a tidy and organized manner including, but not limited to restocking bathrooms and cleaning up spills

  • Provide exceptional customer service

  • Plan & execute Cottage Events

  • Track event details on excel spreadsheet

  • Assist with Office/Administrative tasks

  • Assist with parking duties including, but not limited to directing traffic and using the golf cart to shuttle guest from the parking lot to the ceremony location

  • Participate in Venue Planning meetings and tours

  • Other duties as assigned by Venue Manager or Assistant Operation Coordinator

Seasonal Event Assistant

The Balmoral House is looking for part-time energetic, organized, & reliable team members to work with the Venue Managers to execute exceptional events on a seasonal basis during peak season.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist Venue Manager on event days including, but not limited to bussing, Day-of-Coordination, trash removal, & event set up and tear down

  • Assist bartender with bar services including, but not limited to preparing non-alcoholic beverages, pouring toasts, and restocking items

  • Clean and maintain the Balmoral House including, but not limited to restocking bathrooms and cleaning up spills

  • Provide exceptional customer service

  • Assist with parking duties including, but not limited to directing traffic and using the golf cart to shuttle guest from the parking lot to the ceremony location

  • Other duties as assigned by Venue Manager

Bartenders

Provide timely, accurate and friendly service while preparing the highest quality beverages for our guests. Ensuring that the service you provide meets with service standards expected by management. 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure consistently friendly, efficient and courteous service is always provided

  • Set up bar based on client bar selection order

  • Maintain inventory in attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink promotion and preparation

  • Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar, including bussing and emptying trash

  • Maintain stock levels on beer, wine, liquor, etc. using the “first in, first out” approach

  • Maintain stock levels on napkins, straws, glass and plastic ware, ice, garnishes, etc.

  • Check customers’ identification and confirm legal drinking age

  • Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations; answer questions regarding beverage offerings

  • Take beverage orders from guests and record each order in POS

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the venues standard drink recipes

  • Accept guest payment, process credit card charges on POS

  • Ensure bar services are compliant with Indiana liquor laws using responsible bartending

  • Tear down bar inventory and supplies at close and put everything in appropriate bar storage areas and follows closing procedures

  • Manage cash and credit card receipts, including cash count down and perform closing procedures

  • Ensure strong professional relationship and communication with team members 

  • Conduct other duties as instructed by venue manager
